Isabel Coixet és una directora barcelonina considerada una de les directores i guionistes més reconegudes i internacionals dels nostres temps. Coixet també ha dirigit documentals, com “Invisibles” (2007), que tracta sobre la vida de persones anònimes que lluiten contra la pobresa i la desigualtat, i “Escuchando al juez Garzón” (2011), que explora la figura del jutge espanyol Baltasar Garzón i la seva tasca a la lluita contra el terrorisme.
