Indiferència és segurament una de les poques sensacions que no s’experimenten durant la pel·lícula.

La inspiració que, com ja comentem, és imprescindible per a qualsevol espècie d’activisme o compromís social i polític, també és característica d’altres films de Steven Spielberg. Els arxius del Pentàgon (2017) aconsegueixen estimular amb èxit aquest sentiment en l’espectador, i no sols a aquells que siguin periodistes. Narra els esdeveniments ocorreguts en 1971, quan el New York Times i el Washington Post van treballar units per a revelar els papers que ocultaven informació relativa a la Guerra de Vietnam. Aquest relat sobre la llibertat de premsa i el paper dels mitjans de comunicació està d’absoluta actualitat, malgrat que faci referència al mandat de Nixon.
